Goodluck Hope
Project Description:
Goodluck Hope is a new riverside neighbourhood comprising 804 homes distributed over 14 buildings of different heights and typologies.
The Goodluck Hope site is located directly on the River Thames at the historic Leamouth Peninsula, it is surrounded by water on three sides and situated adjacent to London City Island.
The masterplan also includes 2,000 sq. m of commercial space, 235 sq. m of education floorspace, a brewery, and a restored Grade II-listed Orchard Dry Dock.
The design of Goodluck Hope has been inspired by the areas industrial past, with an architectural style influenced by the Docklands warehouses.
Key Challenges:
-
Proximity to the River Thames and River Lea, extensive riverwall reinforcement works.
-
Phased handovers due to construction and occupation sequency.
-
High Rise construction and façade installation.
-
Complex access for maintenance strategies of tall buildings.
-
Integration of landscape design with requirements for emergency and maintenance access.
