Undertaking the client nominated duty-holder role in planning, managing, monitoring and co-ordinating the design to ensure a fully compliant project with the Building Regulations and other associated legislation/guidance.

  • Appointed directly by the client
  • Typically involved between RIBA Stages 2–5
  • Competency established in-line with BS 8670-1: 2024 and PAS 8670-1: 2022

Providing reassurance and care to the nominated Principal Contractor in conjunction with their role and responsibilities within the Regulations.

  • Independent inspections to validate the design as-built
  • Assist with monitoring design changes and demonstrating compliance
  • Handover support regarding commissioning relative to Regulation 38 / Golden Tread requirements

HRB (Higher Risk Building) Gateway Application Support

HRB (Higher Risk Building) Gateway Application Support


Dedicated HRB application assistance for Gateway 1-3 submissions along with ‘Emergency Repair Notifications’ to the BSR – Building Safety Regulator. Support with the necessary Gateway 2 documents to include:

  • Building Regulations Compliance Statement
  • Competency Declaration
  • Fire and Emergency File
