The Energy and Data Centre (E&DC) accommodates the support plant for the new Cambridge site R&D building. The E&DC has four levels and a basement which houses plant facilities and a separate FM area spaced over three levels.

The FM area includes an office, an induction room and a number of stores and workshops for equipment maintenance supporting of the R&DC building.

The systems within the energy centre which will feed the services via the tunnel to the R&DC building are as follows:

• Chilled water o Heating (low grade and high-grade circuits)
• Sprinklers o Cold water (softened tank cold water and mains water)
• HV electrics o LV electrics
• Data Centre
