Kings College Junior School is currently located on the main campus on Wimbledon Common, sharing grounds with the all-boys Senior School and a co-educational Sixth Form. Together, these schools educate approximately 1,300 students.

The proposed development seeks to relocate the Junior School from its current site on the Southside Campus to a purpose-built facility on The Downs.

This new facility is designed to foster creative learning and innovation, with dedicated classrooms for Art, Design & Engineering, and Science, and a main hall equipped with advanced technology for theatrical performances and school-wide events.

Externally, the site will feature a Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA), a well-equipped play area, and a proposed ‘quiet corner’ within the mature woodland in the north-east of the site – offering a peaceful, nature-based space to support pupil wellbeing.

Additionally, a rooftop terrace above the main hall will provide opportunities for outdoor learning and small group activities, encouraging educational engagement beyond the traditional classroom environment.
