Project description

The Shell Tower was part of the original Shell Centre constructed between 1957 and 1962, and it has been retained as part of the new Southbank development. The Tower is 27 storeys high, with two levels of basement and an undercroft below ground.

The project comprised the internal refurbishment of windows to each floor, including façade clean and roof repairs.

Extensive lift refurbishment – full replacement of Lift 38, upgrade to all other lifts including shaft lighting, new cables, control panels etc.

Refresh of internal floor space from level 23/24 in 3 phases. Works included the reconfiguration of office layouts, upgrade of mechanical and electrical services, AV, I.T, new gymnasium and new catering facilities.
