iM2 acted as CDM Principal Designer for the regeneration of the public realm at Cardinal Place, a prominent retail and office development located near Victoria Station and opposite Westminster Cathedral. This ambitious project aimed to transform the existing urban environment into a greener, more welcoming, and accessible space for residents, workers, and visitors.

The project delivered a series of public realm improvements, including the replacement of existing hard landscaping with urban greening interventions. New raised and freestanding planters with integrated seating created inviting areas for socialising and rest. Enhanced wayfinding—comprising legible signage, interpretive features, and well-defined gateway points improved pedestrian movement throughout the site.

A key design feature was a carefully developed lighting scheme that enriched the evening atmosphere, combining functional amenity lighting with dramatic feature elements—centred around a bespoke chandelier installation.
